Group Workshops
In addition to individualized assessments and treatment, I offer group workshops for parents. I can meet you in a home or preschool. The workshops I offer are:
Tummy Time Skills - Designed to provide you with the information and skills you need to enhance your child’s development and to prevent early motor delays. I will explain the importance of tummy time, show you how to work with your baby on learning early environmental exploration, and demonstrate hands-on approaches to encourage your baby to enjoy tummy time. Class size limited to 5 babies with their parent/s.
Pre-Writing Skills - Designed to provide you with information on the development of fine motor and grasping skills needed for preschoolers to prepare for kindergarten. I will provide education on the typical developmental acquisition of grasping skills, explain the red flags and warning signs that a child is having difficulty attaining proper grasping and/or fine motor skills, help determine when a child may need intervention with an OT, and demonstrate specific activities to work on with your child. Class size limited to 4-5 children with their parent/s.
Shoe Tying Skills - Designed to teach shoe tying techniques to a small group of children ages 4-7. The typical age for acquiring the ability to tie a bow is age 5, but for some children it takes extra practice to master this skill and feel confident. Class size limited to 4-5 kids.
